LENORE ROSE BROWN

Mrs. John (Lenore) Rose Brown, 61 years of age, was injured fatally on the 28th of September 1970 in an auto accident in Jackson Twp., Madison county. Lenore was born October 27, 1908 in Madison county, Iowa, the daughter of E. E. and Eliza Belle Hamner.

She was married to John E. Brown on the 21st of March 1939 in Des Moines. They lived their entire life in Madison county. To this union: two children, Deloris Kay Brown of Des Moines, and Jack E. Brown, student at NW Maryville, Mo.

Lenore was affiliated with the Pitzer United Presbyterian church, the Golden Rule Club, the Rebekah Lodge No 233, Earlham, the Farm Bureau and the Three Link Club of Earlham.

Survivors are her husband, John, and two children, Deloris and Jack; three brothers and four sister, Vernie Hammack, and Laura Rodriguez of National City, California, Eva Wagner of Peru, Louise Hines of Des Moines, Walter, George, and Fred Hamner of Winterset. She leaves nine nephews and ten nieces and a host of friends. Two brothers, Harry and Roy and her parents preceded her in death. Lenore was always willing to drop everything and come to the aid of others. They were caring for Floy Amy in their home at the time of the accident. Lenore was a friend of everyone and never knew a stranger. She raised her family in such a manner that higher praise cannot be made. Her love was never ending. She will never be forgotten in the hearts of those so very dear.

WINTERSET, IA. - Services for Mrs. Lenore R. Brown, 61, of rural Winterset, who was killed Monday in a car-truck accident northwest of Winterset, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Presbyterian Church in Pitzer, with burial in the Earlham Cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, John E.; a daughter, Deloris Kay of Des Moines; a son, Jack E. of Winterset; three brothers, Walter Hamner, George Hamner, and Fred Hamner, all of Winterset; four sisters, Mrs. Vernie Hammack and Mrs. Laura Rodriguez, both of National City, Calif., Mrs. Eva Wagner of Peru, la., and Mrs. Louise Hines of Des Moines.
