PAUL G. STORCK Died Friday

Paul G. Storck, mayor of Van Meter and a well-known resident of that area, died at his home in Van Meter last Friday, April 12, 1974. He was 58 years of age.

Paul George Storck was born March 3, 1916, the son of Paul and Nellie Bolt Storck of rural Winterset. He lived with his parents on the farm 10 miles north of Winterset until entering the U.S. Army for four years.

He was married to Cynthia Scrivner at San Luis Obispo, California on January 1, 1943. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of rural Van Meter. Mr. Storck was an active participant in community affairs, serving as a Van Meter councilman for the past four years, and as mayor since November of last year.

He was a member of the Lions Club, the American Legion, and was vice-chairman of the Dallas County Landfill Board.

He had been employed as a mechanic by the Gibbs-Cook Company of Des Moines for the past 16 years.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Sanders; and one grandson. He is also survived by one brother, Van Storck of Winterset.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, April 15th, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. E. A. Breiholz presiding. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
