HATTIE BELLE JOHNSON

Hattie Belle Weaver, daughter of Solomon and Frances Weaver, was born in the Bear Crek (Creek) neighborhood December 27, 1873. Here she lived with her parents until 1880 when they moved to a farm near Earlham. On this farm she continued to live until her marriage to Charles R. Johnson on June 22, 1893. After her marriage she moved back to the Bear Creek neighborhood where she and her husband lived until his death, which occurred in July 1934.

After her husband’s death, her brother, William Weaver came and lived with her. Here they continued to live together until she was called from this life early Sunday morning while in the hospital in Des Moines, on June 10, 1945 at the age of 71 years, five months and 13 days.
