ALLEN S. MORRIS, Wintersest

Services for Allen S. Morris, 74, a resident at the Bethesda Care Center, Winterset, who died Dec. 14, 1982, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Thursday, Dec. 16 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Alan Parker officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Palo Alto County, he was the son of Charles and Rose Smith Morris. He farmed most of his life, retiring in 1979. He had lived here since 1944 and had worked at the Farmer's Co-op and for 16 years at the city light plant. He was a member of the Pitzer United Presbyterian Church.

He married Rachel Williams June 30, 1936 at Council Bluffs; she survives along with daughters, Shirley Taylor, Jean Graham and Sandra Bautch, all of Des Moines; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, a brother and two half brothers.
