Mrs. Lillie M. Shaw, a resident of Madison county for the past 66 years, died at her home in Winterset Monday after a long period of failing health. She was 82 years of age.

Mrs. Shaw was born in Brown county, Ohio, on Nov. 3, 1859, the daughter of Alfred and Mary Shaw. When she was 16 years old she came to Iowa with her parents. The family settled in Webster township, and this county had been her home since that time.

In 1883 she was united in marriage to M. C. Shaw. They were the parents of two children, Mrs. Ava Leveke, and the late Stanley Shaw. Her husband died eight years ago.

Mrs. Shaw was a life-long member of the Methodist church, having transferred her membership to Iowa when she removed from Ohio.
