Roy Lull, Newton

Roy Lull, 67, a resident of Newton since 1977, died of a heart attack Tuesday evening, April 22, at the Skiff Medical Center.

Funeral services were held April 25 at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.

The Rev. E. William Kaska, pastor of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church conducted services. Burial was at Mt. Pelier Cemetery near Patterson, where graveside services were conducted by Rev. Clarence L. Lautt from the Methodist Church of Winterset and Patterson. Military services were also held by the American Legion. Mr. Lull was an army veteran of World War II.

Memorial contributions to a fund in Mr. Lull's name may be left at the funeral home.

Born near Patterson on April 7, 1919, he was the son of Robert and Blanche Hyser Lull. He was employed as a carpenter and married Carmen Sue Bravard Eyell, Dec. 29, 1973 in Patterson.

Survivors include his wife Carmen Sue; three sons, Steven, Daron and Dustin of St. Charles; three step-sons, Steven, Michael, Andrew Ezell of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; three step-daughters, Cynthia Main, Kim (Mrs. James) Anderson of Newton and Allison Chance of Nevada; four grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers, Rex Lull, Robert "Pete" Lull Jr. of Martensdale, Loyde Lull of near Patterson and a sister, Mary Jo (Mrs. Max Tucker) of Macksburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Teresa; a sister, Helen; and a brother, Clyde.
