LAVERN L. STRUNK, Stratford

Services for Mrs. Lavern L. Strunk, 83, who died June 4, 1985, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, were held June 6 at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City with Rev. Dennis Schoolfield officiating. Burial was at the Lake City Cemetery at Lake City.

Born at Grant City, Nov. 15, 1901, she was the daughter of Frank and Mae Jacobs Wessel. She married Anthony H. Strunk on Feb. 8, 1922, in Rockwell City. He preceded her in death in September, 1971.

Mrs. Strunk resided in the Winterset-Peru areas for 20 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Mildred) Wenck of Peru, Mrs. Gaylord (Maxine) Kackley of Stanhope and Mrs. Molly Martin of Webster City; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Amber) Kraft of Fonda, Mrs. Opal Boor of Estherville and Mrs. Ione Campbell of Humeston.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, two brothers and one sister.
