Barbara Jean Luke, 54, of Belgrade, Mont., died May 13, 1999.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at her home in Montana.

Barbara Luke was born June 29, 1944, to Edgar and Darlene (Silliman) Mahan of Indianola. She was a graduate of Winterset High School and attended Bible college in Omaha, Neb. She married Darrell Luke on April 22, 1966 in Winterset. They resided in Winterset until moving to Bozeman, Mont., in 1990. Barbara had been employed as a secretary for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Company and had been a receptionist at a hospital in Iowa. She also was a dispatcher for the Madison County Sheriff's Department.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one daughter.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Edgar (wife Maggie) and Justin (wife April) all of Belgrade; her father and stepmother, Edgar and Tiny Mahan of Van Meter; two sisters, Beverly King of Lorimor and Cheri Michael of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.
