JACK STRONG, Nebraska

Jack A. Strong, 81, of Omaha, Neb., died May 27, 2003.

A private memorial service will be held in Winterset at a later date.

Jack Strong was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Winterset to Arthur and Hattie Strong. He was a graduate of Winterset High School. On Sept. 10, 1943, he married Georgia W. Adams of Osceola. Jack received flight training in the Army Air Corps and later was a professional flight instructor and auto mechanic until his retirement. During his retirement, he worked at his brother's business, G & S Organ, located in Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two sons.

He is survived by two daughters, Caren Jean Hopkins and Carolyn J. Fuller, both of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Steve Strong of Omaha; and two sisters, Betty Macumber of Joplin, Mo., and Ethelee Dixon of Villea, N.Y.
