MRS. C. L. WILKINSON DIED LAST FRIDAY

Passes at Daughter's Home in Truro After Several Years of Illness

Mrs. Clyde L. Wilkinson, wife of a former Winterset and Peru druggist, and a well known resident of these communities, died last Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Beverlin of Truro, after several years of failing health. She was 50 years of age.

Mrs. Wilkinson was the former Ruth A. Smith, daughter of James and Isabelle Smith, and was born at Truro on Jan. 26, 1892. At the age of seven years, she moved with her parents to Winterset, where she was reared. She was married on Feb. 22, 1912, to Clyde L. Wilkinson. They began their married life at Peru, where their three children were born. In 1930 the family moved to Winterset, and this community was her home until last year, when ill health forced her to make her home with her children.

At an early age she had united with the Methodist church. She was active in the affairs of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters lodge of Winterset, and was an officer in each as long as her health permitted.

She is survived by her husband; her three children, Mrs. Wilma Beverlin of Truro, Robert Wilkinson of Storm Lake, and Jimmie Wilkinson of Winterset; her aged mother, Mrs. Belle Worthing of Truro; two brothers, Sam Smith of Holly, Colo., and Fred Smith of Douglas, Wyo; a sister, Mrs. May Shearer of Peru; and two granddaughters, Barbara Lee Beverlin of Truro, and Diane Wilkinson of Storm Lake.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Kale funeral home in Truro, in charge of the Rev. W. W. Watson, assisted by the Rev. Van Vleet. Burial was made in the cemetery at Peru.
