Wednesday, January 23, 1963LOUIS LOOMIS OF LORIMOR DIES
Louis Loomis, 89, retired farmer died here last Saturday after a short illness. He was born June 1, 1873 in Madison county and spent his entire life in this community.
He farmed for many years, moving to Lorimor after the death of his wife in 1954.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles Thurman of Murray and six sons, Oscar of Grants Pass, Oregon, Fred of Lucerne, Missouri, Carl of Mathersville, Ill., Homer of Madrid, Iowa, Neal of Des Moines and Walter of Lorimor.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, January 15 at Watts and Soil Funeral home. Rev. C. F. Bohn officiated.
Burial was made at Barney.
