Frank Brown died Saturday, August 23, 1975, at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, after one week's illness.
He was 80 years of age.
Frank was born to Robert and Lizzie Smith Brown on October 12, 1894 in Madison County, Earlham, Ia. where he resided for 50 years. He was united in marriage September 21, 1916 to Anice Knox and one daughter, Edith, was born to this union.
After he developed a heart condition he retired from farming and in 1944 moved to Adel, where he became well known for his hand made walnut furniture. His love of beautiful flowers and his exceptional iris, rose and eony gardens will be remembered by all who enjoyed them.
He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
Frank is survived by his wife, Anice, and daughter, Edith Aichele of Winterset; and one sister, Mary Olson of Winterset.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Onie Miller.

Page 6Rites for Frank Brown
Funeral services were observed in Adel Tuesday morning for Frank Brown, a former resident of the Worthington community. Mr. Brown, 80, died at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines Saturday, August 23. Burial was at the Worthington Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was recognized in Iowa for his cabinet making of fine walnut furniture and continued in his work until his health failed.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Edith Aichele of Winterset.
