Funeral services for Arlene Kay Russell, 39, were held Wed., April 29 at 10 a.m. at Collins funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Mrs. Russell was pronounced dead April 25 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born June 1, 1952 in Iowa City to William and Arlene (LaVore) Vermace and married Olive Russell on June 28, 1986 in Winterset. She was employed at Innovative Industries, assisting with the handicapped, and was a member of -2- Steps To Des Moines, a dance club. She moved to Madison County from Iowa City 11 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Surviving are her husband of Winterset; a daughter, Jennifer Palmer of Jefferson; a brother, Bill Vermace of Nevada; a step-daughter, Lauri Fogarty of Mesa, Ariz.; a step-son, Allen Russell of Des Moines; her grandmother, Laura Willey of Grandby, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Burial was a Oxford Cemetery, Oxford. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
