Rena J. Faber, 90, died Thurs., July 25 at her residence after a long illness. Services were held July 29 at Meyers Brothers Colonial Chapel with Don Cox and Freddie Bryanton officiating.
Mrs. Faber, the former Rena J. DeJager, was born May 30, 1901 near Orange City. She married Peter Faber October 5, 1920 in Orange City.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980, two children in infancy, a son-in-law, a grandchild, two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include five sons, Wendell of Lakewood, Calif., Roland of Mayetta, Kan., Maynard of Tulsa, Okla., Laurence of Anchorage, Alaska and Ronald Peter of Easton, Mo.; eight daughters, Mrs. Gerrit (Rosa) deBoer of Pierson, Freda of Mexico City, June of Sioux City, Bernice of Alliance, Neb., Philene of the Dominican Republic, Mrs. Oliver (Lois) Pountney of Corvallis, Ore., Mrs. Jim (Goldie) Vlieger of Peru, Mrs. Jerry (Lydia) Beemer of Gravity; four sisters, Susie Smit of Lynden, Wash., Rose deWeerd and Henrietta Vander Kieft, both of Sioux Center and Johanna Vliestra of Orange City; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Sherman Township Cemetery, Maurice.
