Graveside Rites For GLADYS STRAIN

Graveside services for Gladys Chloe Strain of Winterset were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17, at Rural Dale Cemetery in Grundy County, Mo. Rev. Roger Wreath officiated at the service.

Mrs. Strain died Wednesday, November 14, 1979, at Winterset Care Center North at the age of 87.

Born in LeGrande, Ore. on July 28, 1892, she was the daughter of Benjamin F. and Ada May Robbs Munn. She was married to Claude E. Strain on November 8, 1911 in Spickard, Mo. Her husband preceded her in death in 1969. Mrs. Strain had lived at the Care Center for the last six years, having come here from Des Moines.

Surviving are a son, Claude E. Strain, Jr. of West Des Moines; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Leila Robertson of Kansas City, Kan. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
