Marie Lienemann, Van Meter

Services for Mrs. Marie Lienemann, 86, rural Van Meter, who died Dec. 23 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Dec. 27, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Van Meter. Burial was at the Fairview Cemetery near DeSoto.

Mrs. Lienemann lived most of her life in the Van Meter area. She was a homemaker and was member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Ladies Aide.

She was born Oct. 19, 1902 at Linn Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Hattie Rose. She married Walter Clifford Lienemann in Des Moines on Jan. 26, 1921.

Survivors include sons, Walter of Minburn, Pete of Van Meter, Nile of Macon, Ga., Lawrence of Adel, Elmer of Perris, Calif., and John of Van Meter; daughters, Clara Reinholdt of Hartford and Edna Eaton of Sidney, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, three brothers, a sister, two sons, a daughter and a grandchild.
