Dorothy Lemon Services Held Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 2, from Collins Funeral Home for Dorothy Blossom Lemon, 65, who died Friday, April 28, 1978 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

She was born October 31, 1912 in Winterset, the daughter of James and Sarah Brooks Sheldon. She spent most of her life in Madison County.

Mrs. Lemon was married to LeRoy Lemon on April 5, 1930, in Winterset. He survives his wife. Also surviving are four sons, Francis of Lorimor, Bill of Creston, James of Winterset and John of Lorimor; one daughter, Dora Hibdon of Peru; one sister, Mrs. Florence Ross of Winterset; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Officiating at Tuesday's 2 p.m. services was Rev. Phill Hall. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
