SUSAN LONGSHORE DIES AT BARNEY

Long-Time Resident Found Dead in Home There Last Friday

Mrs. Susan A. Longshore of the Barney community died at her home there last Friday. She was 72 years of age.

Mrs. Longshore was the former Susan A. Read, daughter of Alfred and Sabina Read. She was born in Madison county, October 24, 1890. She joined the Barney Christian church in 1911.

On December 31, 1912, she was married to Vincent L. Longshore. They moved to Colorado in 1920, but returned to Barney in 1948. Her husband died in 1951.

She was preceded in death also by two daughters, Anita in 1919, and Mary Sabina in 1921.

She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Donald Warren of Lorimor, two granddaughters; and a sister, Mrs. Jenny Simpson of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Barney Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Patrick Freddee of Lorimor, assisted by the Rev. C. P. Shepard. Burial was made in the Barney cemetery.
