Thomas M. Leinard, 89, of Winterset, died January 25, 1994. A memorial service will be held Sat., Jan. 29, 1994 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with the Reverend Bob Epperson officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.
He was born April 13, 1904 to Ernest R. and Rosa A. (Husted) Leinard in Madison County. He married Lula M. Popp on December 19, 1925. He was a retired farmer and a member of the First Methodist Church; Farm Bureau and Madison County Republican Party.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters and one grandson.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Donald Leinard and wife Gladys of Greenfield, and Carl E. Leinard of Greenfield; one daughter, Lois Brown and husband Marvin of Murray; one sister, Della May Spurgin and husband Raymond of Winterset; one step-sister, Amy Tingley of California; six grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church or Community Care Center.
