WILLIAM E. LEHMAN'S BODY ENROUTE HOME

The body of William E. Lehman, a Madison county soldier who was killed in battle in France during the recent war, has arrived in New York City and will be brought to Creston for burial.

The young soldier was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lehman, who now live at Creston. Most of his life was spent in Winterset. He entered the U.S. Army as a volunteer on March 27, 1941, and was killed in action in Normandy on June 26, 1944.

In addition to his parents, he leaves three brothers, Ernest and Earl Lehman of Creston and Albert Lehman of Winterset.
