Stella S. Lehman, 85, of Winterset died of renal failure Dec. 21, 1998 at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Marc Rucklos officiating. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Des Moines.
Stella Lehman was born Oct. 20, 1913, in Grand River to Noah Hensley and Effie Ann (Croy) Smith. She married Ernest Lehman on July 2, 1932. A retired homemaker, Stella had been a resident of Winterset for the past nine years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph Lehman (wife Kay) of Price, Utah, and Jack Lehman (wife Linda) of Des Moines; three daughters, Jenny Shoning (husband Melvin), Betty Doyle (husband Alan and JoAnn Christensen (husband Jake), all of Winterset; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
