Services for Susie Frances LeGrande, 101, Winterset, who died Nov. 14 at her residence, were held Monday, Nov. 17 at the Collins Funeral Home with Glenn Hipsley, reader, officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Madison County Dec. 7, 1884, she was the daughter of William and Paulina Richmond Smith. She was a retired farm wife and homemaker. On April 9, 1917, she was married in Greenfield to J. C. LeGrande.
She was a lifetime resident of the area, a member of the Creston First Church of Christ, Scientist, and the Kasson Friendship Club.
Survivors include daughters, Eugenia Mardell LeGrande and Frances Ruth LeGrande, both of Winterset, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and two sisters.
