Services Tuesday For Weaver Leak

Funeral services for Weaver Leak, 97, of Winterset were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at Hamblin Cemetery with Rev. Scott Grotewold officiating. Mr. Leak died June 30 at Winterset Care Center North.

Born January 18, 1882 at Afton, he was the son of Francis Edmond and Nancy Matilda Workman Leak. He was married to Molly Jane Berry on January 29, 1903 at Afton. Mr. Leak lived in Madison County 47 years where he was a farmer until his retirement in 1967. He was a member of the Norwalk Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Molly Jane; his parents; two sons; two daughters; two brothers and a sister. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Lois L. Gray of Des Moines; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

WEAVER LEAK

WINTERSET, IA. — Services for Weaver Leak, 97, a retired farmer who died Saturday at Care Center North here, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will be in Hamblin Cemetery at Macksburg.

A native of Afton, Mr. Leak lived first at Norwalk and then at Winterset. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lois L. Gray of Des Moines; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
