Berniece Lawler, 99, a former Winterset resident, died Dec. 16, 2003, at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center.
A funeral Mass was held Friday, Dec. 19, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery in rural Patterson.
Born in Madison County, Berniece was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Frank Wiedmann and Vincent Lawler; a great-grandson; and a sister, Lorraine Wildin.
She is survived by a son, Robert Wiedmann of Indianola; a sister, Georgia Wheeler of Nampa, Idaho; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and many stepchildren, step grandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
