BLANCHE SYDNES, Winterset

Blanche Elizabeth Lande Sydnes, 78, of Winterset, died of a heart attack Dec. 21, 1994 at her home. Funeral services were Dec. 27 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Kurt Anderson officiating. Burial was at the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

She was born in Cambridge on Feb. 11, 1916 to Robert and Pearl (Elliott) Lee. She married Lawrence Lande on July 4, 1939 in Ames. She later married Norris Sydnes on Dec. 30, 1967 in Ames. She lived in Nevada and St. Charles before moving to Winterset in 1984. She was a homemaker and worked 12 years for Iowa State University Janitorial Services.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and one daughter.

Surviving relatives include one brother, Robert Lee of Long Beach, Calif.; one son-in-law, John Kirsch of St. Charles; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
