Wednesday,February 11, 1981ANNA SWEET Dies at 79
Anna Elizabeth Sweet, daughter of Mary and Adolph Rischmiller, was born November 17, 1901, at Delta, Iowa and passed away February 5, 1981 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 79 years.
She was united in marriage April 1, 1922, at Butler, Missouri, to S.I. (Irl) Sweet. They resided in Missouri the first eleven years of their married life. They moved to Iowa in 1931 and farmed in the Winterset and Patterson areas until 1950, when they moved to their farm home west of Wick.
Mrs. Sweet is survived by her husband, Irl; one son, Gene, St. Charles; five daughters, Irlene Johnson, Van Meter; Marjorie Boyd, St. Charles; Dorothy Hauck, Van Meter; Helen Hansen, Winthrop, Minn.; and Carol Millican, Martensdale, and their families; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Also four sisters: Agnes Patterson, Woodland, Calif.; Olga Slechta, Mountian Home, Ark.; Frances Heinen, Scappose, Ore. and Elnora Jacobs, Independence, Ore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, twin grandsons, and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Rev. Merwin Strahan officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pelier Cemetery near Patterson.
