JOHN SHEARER OF WINTERSET IS DEAD

Succumbed April 8; Funeral Services Held From Church of God

John H. Shearer, a native of Madison county, died at his home in Winterset on April 8. He was 63 years of age.

Mr. Shearer was the son of Noah and Janet Shearer, and was born August 11, 1879. He was married on April 14, 1936, to Minnie May Blair.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Jane Shearer; a step-daughter, Sylvia; two sisters, Mrs. Leola Jackson and Mrs. Minnie Jackson; and one brother, Walter Shearer.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Rudolph Covey, pastor of the Winterset Church of God, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
