CHARLES O. TUTTLE

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16, in Des Moines for Charles O. Tuttle, a former Winterset resident who was killed June 11 1981, in a truck accident near Avoca. He was 47 years old.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 18, in Highfill, Arkansas.

Born in St. Louis, Mo., Mr. Tuttle later moved to Iowa and spent 16 years in the Winterset and Lorimor areas.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and a member of American Legion Post No. 184 in Winterset.

At the time of his death, Mr. Tuttle was a truck driver and owner and operator of the Mickow Corp. and resided in Gentry, Ark.

Survivors include his wife, Cora; a son, Phillip Whithead of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Rebecca Louise Tuttle of Washington; his mother, Margaret J. Tuttle of Norwalk; six brothers, George and Bob of Winterset, Tom and Paul of Des Moines, Larry of Ankeny and John of Norwalk; two sisters, Blanche Dykes of Des Moines and Betty Bone of Lakeside, Ariz.; and three grandchildren.
