DEATH OF MRS. B. NUGENT

Found Dead in Bed When Grandchildren Called Her to Breakfast

Mrs. Bridget Nugent, mother of M. J. Nugent, of West Jefferson street, died very suddenly last Thursday night at the age of 81. She retired in usual health on Thursday evening and on Friday morning, when one of her grandchildren went to call her to breakfast, it was discovered that she had died during the night. She suffered from a stroke of paralysis some months ago, and it is supposed that a second stroke was the cause of her death.

The deceased was born on County Clare, Ireland and came to this country when a girl. She was married fifty two years ago, herself and husband being early settlers in Warren county, just east of Bevington. Of a family of eight children, two survive the parents, M. J. Nugent of this place and Mrs. Frank McManus of Des Moines. Funeral services were held at St. Lawrence’s church Sunday morning and burial was made at Churchville.
