MRS. RAY TYER Died On Sunday

Mrs. Ray Tyer, a well known resident of Winterset for many years, died Sunday. Oct. 18, 1959, in Des Moines. She was 75 years of age.

Mrs. Tyer was born in Jefferson townships on Oct. 4, 1884. She was the former Lillie Belle McDonald, daughter of Cyrus and Mary E. McDonald. She came to Winterset in 1939.

She was married March 21, 1906 to Ray W. Tyer. His death occurred in 1946.

She leaves four sons, Earl Tyer of Omaha and Gilbert, Roscoe and Calvin Tyer, all of Winterset; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Pilmer of Winterset and Mrs. Gene Peterson of Des Moines; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Reed of Summerfield, Kan.; and two brothers, Joe McDonald of Artesia, Colo., and Harry McDonald of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday afternoon from the United Presbyterian church in charge of the Rev. Reuben Song of Des Moines. Burial was to be made in the North McDonald cemetery.
