1979Former Resident Dies in Texas
Word has been received here of the death of Rosemary Wallace Konzen of College Station, Texas, Saturday January 18th in Madisonville Hospital. She had been ill for several years with diabetes and complications.
She was born July 9, 1939 in Adair County, Iowa, the daughter of Clayton and Hilda Wallace. The family moved to Madison County in 1940. She graduated from the Winterset High School with the class of 1959, and the University of Iowa at Iowa City in 1960.
She was united in marriage to Richard B. Konzen July 30, 1960. The family moved to College Station, Texas in 1970 where Mr. Konzen is a professor at Texas A & M.
Mrs. Konzen was preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Eugene and her father, Clayton Wallace. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Karla, her mother, Mrs. Hilda Wallace of Winterset, four brothers, James of Wichita Falls, Texas, Thomas of Omaha, Nebraska, John of St. Petersburg, Florida and Gene of Sabata Paula, California and two sisters, Kathryn Seemuth of Iowa City and Teresa Cacraies of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Memorial services were held for Mrs. Konzen in College Station Monday, January 22nd.
