MONSIGNOR MALONE DIES IN DES MOINES

The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry V. Malone, a native of Winterset and a Catholic priest widely known in this diocese, died last Thursday night at the Mercy hospital. He was 83 years of age.

Monsignor Malone served for many years as pastor of Immaculate Conception church at Creston. In 1934 he went to the Mercy hospital to serve as chaplain for three years before retiring.

He celebrated his 50 years membership in the priesthood in 1941.
