Funeral services for Gladys Knudson, 71, were held Tues., Sept. 22 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with the Rev. Donald Frank officiating. Mrs. Knudson died at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines on September 18, 1992.

She was born on January 28, 1921 in New Sharon to William Kuntz and Koosie deHammer. She married Ronald O. Knudson on October 20, 1951 in Chicago, Ill. She moved to Prole in 1985 from California. She was a member of Patterson United Methodist Church, serving in various church groups. She was a U. S. Navy nurse in WW II.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother; and two sisters.

Surviving relatives are her husband; one son, Jason Knudson of Bevington; one daughter, Jody Tanner of Camarillo, Calif.; two brothers, William Kuntz of Sigourney and Harvey Kuntz of Rose Hill; and four sisters, Erma Monroe of Dallas, Texas, Grace Reed of Montezuma, Edna Courtney of Oskaloosa, and Jeanette Robey of Mojave, Calif.

Memorial may be sent to the family. Burial was at Montpelier Cemetery at Patterson.
