Services for Mamie Smith

Mamie B. Smith, a lifetime resident of Madison County, died at the age of 85 on Thursday, July 17, 1975 at Madison County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Smith was the wife of Lynn Jobson. She later married George F. Smith and was preceded in death by both men.

Born December 23, 1889 in Madison County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Linza Macumber Bertholf and Sarah Williamson. During her life she was employed as a housewife and rural schoolteacher.

Surviving Mrs. Smith is a stepson, Clair D. Smith of Longmont, Colorado; one brother, Don Bertholf of Harlingen, Texas and two nieces and two nephews.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith were conducted Saturday, July 19, 1975 at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Paul Hann.
