NELLIE KNIGHT DIES IN SAN DIEGO

Mrs. Nellie Knight, formerly a well-known resident of Winterset, died Sunday, Aug. 11 in a hospital at San Diego, Calif. She was 77 years of age.

Mrs. Knight was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gibson. She was born at West Liberty Feb. 3, 1891, but she moved to this community at an early age, and spent most of her life here. In recent years she had been living in Calif.

She had been in failing health in recent months, and underwent two major operations in the past few weeks.

Surviving are five daughters, Betty, Martha, Mary and Shirley, all in the San Diego area, and Jean of Long Beach. She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Blanche Gilbrech of Winterset and a brother, Ralph Gibson of Des Moines.

Funeral services and burial were to be held in San Diego this Wednesday.
