David M. Green, a long-time citizen of Winterset, died at his home here last Saturday. He had been in failing health for some time.

Mr. Green was born at Wyoming, Ill. on Sept. 7, 1861. He came to Iowa in 1884, settling in Adair county. He was married there to Mrs. C. A. Davis. They moved to Madison county where he spent the remainder of his life, most of it in Winterset.

He is survived by three sisters; Mrs. Anna Watson of Terre Haut, Ind., Mrs. Rosa Gillespe of Des Moines, and Mrs. May DeWester of Alliance, Neb.; and two brothers, Fred Green of Greenfield and Roy Green of Alliance, Neb.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp, pastor of the Methodist church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
