LOUISA HAMILTON DIES AT 79 YEARS

Long-Time Resident of This Community Was at Home of Daughter

Mrs. Louisa Hamilton, a resident of Winterset for most of her life, died last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. H. Neff in Ft. Des Moines. She was 79 years of age, and had been ill about two weeks.

Mrs. Hamilton was the former Louisa Schoonover, daughter of Hiram and Susan Schoonover, and was born in Louisa county on March 28, 1864.

She had united with the Methodist church as a child at Patterson, and she was a member at the time of her death.

In 1883 she was married to Joseph Hamilton. They were the parents of five children. One son, Floyd, preceded her in death.

She is survived by the four children: Oscar B. Hamilton of Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Edith Neff of Ft. Des Moines, Mrs. Iva Duff of Des Moines, and Mrs. Maude Johnson of Truro. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Saturday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp of the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
