MRS. SCOTT RAY DIED LAST SATURDAY

Former Booneville Resident Succumbs Following Heart Attack

Mrs. Scott Ray, former resident of Madison county and Booneville, died March 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucille McCoy of Des Moines. She had suffered a heart attack two days prior to her death. She was 66 years of age.

Mrs. Ray was the former Anna Eliza Landers, daughter of Hiram and Nancy Landers, and was born in Madison county Dec. 8, 1877. On June 21, 1897, she was married to Thomas Scott Ray. They made their home in Booneville for many years, and Mr. Ray died there 11 years ago.

She is survived by her son, Cecil Ray of West Des Moines, the daughter, Mrs. McCoy of Des Moines; four grandchildren; a brother, Perry Landers of Afton; and six sisters, Mrs. Bessie Reimann and Mrs. Grace Hoff of Jefferson, and Mrs. Clyde Harrison, Mrs. Fern Harrell and Gertie Landers of Peru; and Mrs. Maude Harless of Grand Junction.

Funeral services and burial were held at Booneville last Wednesday.
