Former Winterset Youth Dies at Age of 38 Years
Lanning G. Terrill, former Winterset boy, died at Bakersfield, Calif., last week at the age of 38 years.
Mr. Terrill was born and spent his early life in Winterset. He was the son of the late R. B. Terrill. He graduated from the Winterset high school.
He was engaged in the oil business in California, where he was production foreman for the General Petroleum Oil company in the Bakersfield district at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife and his son, Robert Ben Terrill of Bakersfield; four brothers, Lee M. Terrill of Galveston, Tex., Sgt. Charles Terrill of England, E. R. Terrill of Bakersfield, and M. T. Terrill of Omaha; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Ramsey of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. H. G. Phillips of Ames.
Funeral services were conducted last Saturday in charge of E. O. Taylor, president of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints, and burial was made in the Union cemetery at Bakersfield.
