Resident There Since 1922 Died in Hospital at Beloit, Wisc.
James William Shatto, who operated a blacksmith shop and foundry in Lorimor for many years, died Feb. 15 in a hospital at Beloit, Wisc. He was 73 years of age.
Mr. Shatto was a native of Jasper county, where he was born June 21, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Shatto. When he was 2 years old he came with his parents to Adair county. In 1922 they moved to Lorimor.
He was married to Mrs. Vera Pinckney of Macksburg on Oct. 8, 1930. He was a member of the Lorimor Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife; two step-children, Mrs. Cleo Summers of Beloit, and E. E. Pinckney of Lorimor; a brother, S. E. Shatto of Mullen, Ida.; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Bosbert of Nyssa, Ore.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Lorimor Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. J. E. England, and burial was made in the Lorimor cemetery.
