FRED TRINDLE, Adel

Services for Fred R. Trindle, 81, rural Adel, who died April 16, 1986, were held Saturday, April 19, at the Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter. Burial was at the Union Chapel Cemetery near Van Meter, Jefferson Twp. Madison County.

Born June 17, 1904 in Madison County, he was the son of Sanford and Etta Trindle. He was married to Mable Lauterback on Oct. 12, 1927 in Des Moines.

A farmer, he had lived in Dallas County since 1946 and Madison County prior to that. He was a member of the Adel United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Mable; a son, Barry of Earlham and his wife, Delpha; two grandchildren, Vicki Trindle of Ames and Todd Trindle of Winterset; and a great-grandson, Daniel Trindle of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers.

Fred R. Trindle was born June 17, 1904 in Madison County, the son of Sanford and Etta Trindle. He was united in marriage to Mabel Lauterbach on October 12, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Fred lived in Dallas County since 1946. He was a farmer.

He also was a member of the Adel United Methodist church and a fifty year member of the Modern Woodmen Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by three brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Mable; son Barry of Earlham and his wife, Delpha; two grandchildren, Vickie Trindle of Ames and Todd Trindle of Winterset, and one great grandson, Daniel Trindle of Winterset.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 19, 1986 at the Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter. Interment was in Union Chapel Cemetery near Van Meter.
