Charles Ellis Trindle, son of John H. and Margaret H. Trindle, was born in Warren county, Iowa, September 10, 1863, and departed this world at his home in Sumner, Nebraska, December 6, 1925 at the age of 62 years, 2 months and 26 days.
His parents moved to Madison county, Iowa, when he was about four years of age. He was married to Mary E. Gutshall, January 20, 1887. To this union were born four children; Mattie B. Cunningham, Elizabeth Irene, deceased, Margaret L. Dickerson and Hazle Trindle.
Charles Ellis Trindle and wife moved to Dawson county, Nebraska, in the spring of 1887, where he spent the remainder of his life. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, one sister, Mrs. Minnie Pitzer of Van Meter, Iowa, four brothers, Ira Trindle and Stanford Trindle of Van Meter; Boyd Trindle of Wilton, North Dakota and John Robert Trindle of Shanghai, China, and many other relatives and friends.
