Roy W. King, member of a well-known Winterset family, died Thursday, Jan. 27, in a hospital at Glendale, Calif. He had been a resident of Glendale for many years.
Mr. King was brother of Ray King, long-time Winterset clothier, whose death occurred about four years ago.
He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace King of Winterset, and spent his early life in this community. He engaged in the hardware business here for many years. He moved to California in 1925.
Surviving are his wife, the former Faith Benge of Winterset; and two daughters, Mrs. Marianne Keasfy and Mrs. Helen Baxter, both of Glendale.
Funeral services were held Jan. 29 from the Wee Kirk o'the Heather in Los Angeles, with burial in Forest Lawn Memorial park.
