December 1965BOIES TRESTER Died Sunday
Boies Trester of Winterset, a resident of this community all his life, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1965, at Memorial hospital. He had been in failing health in recent years. He was 73 years of age.
Mr. Trester was born in Madison county, Nov. 7, 1892, a son of Newton and Amanda Bennett Trester. During his active life he was employed in consruction work. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the U. S. army during that conflict.
He was married at Rockford, Ill., on Jan. 13, 1929, to Mabel Armitage, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Harold Trester of Denver, Colo.; two grandsons; a brother, Chester Trester of Detroit, Mich.; and a sister, Mrs. Leah Morse of Des Moines.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. H. E. Borum, pastor of the First Baptist church of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
