JASPER NEWTON TRESTER

Jasper Newton Trester was born in Indiana on Aug. 29, 1855 and died at his home in Winterset, Aug. 23, 1923 at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 24 days. When five years of age he came with his parents from Indiana to Iowa and the remainder of his life was spent in this state.

He was united in marriage to Amanda Bennett on Sept. 25, 1883 and to this union were born five children, four of who are living. The surviving ones are Mrs. James Campbell, Mrs. Leah Miller, and Chester and Boyce Trester all of Winterset.
Besides the wife and children he leaves four brothers and two sisters. Other more distant relatives and neighbors and friends unite with these in the spirit of sympathy.

Brief funeral services were conducted from the Tidrick undertaking parlor Friday afternoon by Rev. E. B. Chancellor. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
