JOHN TRASTER Of Winterset Dies

John H. Traster of Winterset, a resident of this community most of his life, died Saturday, March 13, 1965, at Memorial hospital here. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Traster was a native of Fairbury, Nebr., where he was born July 23, 1889, a son of Henry and Millie Blair Traster. He was married March 28, 1917 at Winterset to Hazel Alexander, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 3rd, 1925, he was married to June Ponx at Creston.

For many years he was employed as an engineer at the municipal light plant in Winterset.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Traster of Indianola and Cecil Traster of Elkhart, Ind.; four grandsons; a brother, Charles L. Traster of Winterset; and a niece, Betty Williams of Atlantic.

One brother, Howard Traster, died two weeks ago; and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Workman, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
