ARTHUR KILMER DIED ON MONDAY

Madison County Resident Since 1913 Was 93 Years Of Age

Arthur H. Kilmer of Winterset, a resident of Madison county since 1913, died Monday, May 29, at a nursing home in Menlo. He was 93 years of age.

Mr. Kilmer was born at Como, Ill., on Dec. 21, 1873, a son of Jesse and Julia Kilmer. He came to Madison county 53 years ago. He had engaged in farming, and during most of his years here had operated a hauling business.

He was married April 29, 1907, at Dallas Center to Mary E. Cellan. She preceded him in death.

He was a member of the First Methodist church of Winterset.

Surviving are four children, Mrs. Hazel Clankie of Durand, Ill., Jesse W. Kilmer of Winterset, Mrs. Audrey Basore of Winterset and Clell H. Kilmer of Winterset. He also leaves seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery here.
