Glenn Kilgore Died Sunday

Glenn C. Kilgore, a resident of Madison county most of his life, died Sunday, April 16, at his home in Scott township. He was 69 years of age.

Mr. Kilgore was born in this county July 28, 1902, a son of William B. and Lizzie Shearer Kilgore. Much of his early life was spent in Winterset, and he later lived at Lorimor for a number of years. He also spent 8 years in Alaska.

During his active life he was employed as a druggist in Winterset for many years, and also engaged in farming.

He was married in 1934 to Daisy J. Weaver of Peru, who survives him.

Mr. Kilgore was a member of the Masonic order and was a Shriner.

Funeral services were held this Wednesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery, with Masonic ritual at the grave-side by the Lorimor lodge.
