DELLA TRACY, 89, Died Saturday

Mrs. Della M. Tracy of St. Charles died Saturday, May 20, 1972, at Mercy hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 89 years.

Mrs. Tracy was the former Della May Wright, daughter of Jack and Rebekah Chambers Wright. She was born in Jackson township April 14, 1883. Sixty years of her life were spent in Madison county.

As a young woman she was married to David Roy. His death occurred in September 1908. On Nov. 25, 1909, she was married to Oliver E. Tracy, who preceded her in death on April 28, 1958.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are four sons, Cleo Roy of St. Charles, George Tracy of Norwalk, Raymond Tracy of St. Charles and Wallace Tracy of New Virginia; five daughters, Mrs. Fern Kirkpatrick of New Virginia, Mrs. Faye Acton of Kirksville, Mo., Mrs. Edna Crom of Bloomfield, Mrs. Irene Smother of Cincinnati, Ia., and Jessie Roy of St. Charles; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She also leaves a half-brother, Earnest Darnell of Muscatine; and two half sisters, Celestia Van Winkle of Mt. Ayr and Opal Ash of Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Walter Acton of Kirksville, Mo. Burial was made in Hooten cemetery.
