To the Editor of The Madisonian: Died, on the 11th inst., Elizabeth, wife of Wm. Hircock, and daughter of John and Julia Armstrong. She leaves three small children and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.
Mrs. H. was confined about six weeks ago, took cold, which terminated in her death. Everything was done that could be done, both by friends and medical skill of the physicians, and claimed her for his prey.
Mrs. H. experienced religion while young, lived in its enjoyment, and died in its triumphs. She had the evidence before she died that if taken away she was going to that better world, "Where sickness and sorrow, pain and death, are felt and beared no more."
The funeral procession was one of the largest known in the neighborhood. Her body was interred in the Cemetery at Winterset. May God bless the three small children, and the bereft husband. Omega.
